- 02/Mar/2008 - Lambing at Penarth Ganol
- Lambing of our pure and crossbred, rarebreed Leicester Longwool sheep takes place in March and April each year.
- 12/May/2008 - Cuckoo!
- Since moving to wales in June 2001 we have never heard a cuckoo here. So we were amazed to both hear our first cuckoo on 12th May. We haven't heard it again.
- 16/May/2008 - Baby Birds
- Our geese have just appeared with two goslings which they have hatched on the island in our pond, and the first baby sparrow has been fed by its parent on the peanut feaders. Spring has sprung.
- 07/Jun/2008 - Something different
- One of our neighbours keeps guinea fowl and promised us some eggs to hatch out. We now have 6 eggs incubating under a broody chicken. They hopefully will hatch in about 3 weeks. Guinea fowl a cute little birds and don't did up the garden like the chickens do.
- 10/Sep/2008 - International Sheepdog Trials
- 10th to 14th September.These international trials take place every year at Llandeilo, about 20 minutes drive from here. Come and see our rare breed sheep and our daffy welsh sheep dog, Megan.
